What is a Link Wheel?
By Raymond Cowie
If you have your own blog or website, then you definitely need to know about link wheels. A link wheel is a popular and working method for Search Engine Optimization, which basically means that it gives you good placing in search engine results. Unlike backlinks, link wheels are slightly different with regards to the flow of your links. It creates a large wheel of high quality backlinks, where the quality of links greatly improves your rank in the search engine results. Any technique that’s done outside of your own website for SEO purposes is known as an offsite SEO method. Therefore, a link Wheel is an offsite SEO method. A link wheel is perhaps one of the most difficult, but advanced and effective techniques out there to increase your website ranking. So, let's get straight to the point and explain what a link wheel is and why the ~ “wheel”. A link wheel is a method of producing eight or more freshly made Web 2.0 blogs or micro-sites on a topic based on the main site you want to promote and increase the rank of. Each of these sites will be loaded with unique content and those articles will include a link back to your main site, plus another link to one of your newly created micro-sites. Each micro-site is connected to another, forming a giant wheel and all of these points to the center, which is the main site that you’re promoting. The reason why link wheels are so effective is that web 2.0 sites have a high page ranking (PR6 ~ PR8), which will definitely boost the ranking of your page.
