Affiliate Marketing in a Nutshell

Affiliate Marketing is a marketing strategy in which a business owner rewards his virtual associates for helping him sell his products or services and for attracting more customers. It's an effective way to set up an online business, without spending too much money on ads or expensive marketing campaigns. Affiliate Marketing involves: * a seller or merchant (retailer, brand, business owner)
* a network or social media platform for promoting the product
* a marketer or publisher (an affiliate, one that promotes the seller’s service)
* and lest we forget, a customer An affiliate marketer is someone who joins an affiliate network or signs an agreement with a business owner, promising to promote a prestigious service or product. Usually this is done through affiliate links, which can be accessed on the marketer’s personal or professional profile, webpage or blog. For promoting that specific product or service, the business owner will pay you (the affiliate) a previously agreed percentage from all the sales that are made through your affiliate link. So, the more sales you make, the more benefits and income the affiliate marketing programs will bring you. However, this doesn’t mean you can add the affiliate link to your webpage and just leave it there, hoping your visitors will click on it. You really have to get involved and promote that product on other sites or social networks, in order to attract more potential customers on your personal webpage. For a successful affiliate marketing program, you really need to know the product inside out, because you must be able to answer any questions that potential buyers might address to you. You have to gain their confidence and give them as many details as they require in order to get them to actually purchase the product or service. Affiliate marketing can be a great way of making money online, but you need to work hard and dedicate your time to promotional deeds. If you’re new to this kind of marketing, make sure you find a great product, with a high selling potential and a trustful merchant. Be patient and you’re sure to see results in time! Bon chance.
